Brought up in the Deep South, Laurie’s lifetime appreciation of diamonds was born, a passion nurtured by the women in her jewellery loving family. Moving to England in ‘92, Laurie opened her jewellery boutique specialising in bespoke pieces and private stone sourcing. Understanding knowledge is key, Laurie is a Certified Diamond Grader and Certified Pearl Grader. Considered an industry expert on all things diamond related, she is the On Air Diamond Expert for the international shopping channel QVC.
Her passion is clear when speaking about the subject of diamonds, from diamond mining, cutting, grading, sourcing and designing….she is involved in it all. As a diamond merchant for a private Antwerp syndicate Laurie presents fabulous diamonds at exceptional prices. Understanding how comforting it is to have a personal relationship with your diamond merchant and jeweller led to Laurie creating the Berkeley Diamond Group.
