Carolina Bucci grew up surrounded by jewellers in Florence, Italy where her family has been manufacturing jewellery since 1885. Her individual sense of design asserted itself at a young age. “I started designing my own birthday presents when I was 14,” Carolina recalls “I would ask my father for something, then make him a sketch – after much fighting, he would eventually have it made.” Carolina then backed up her desire to design with an education that provided her with the technical know-how necessary to execute her vision, studying Fine Arts and Jewellery Design in New York.
The Carolina Bucci flagship store opened in Knightsbridge in London in 2007 and the collections are also sold by Jewellery and Luxury Fashion retailers worldwide. Carolina continues to explore new methods of her craft, creating unique pieces that combine the tradition of Florentine artisanship with a distinctly hip and modern sensibility. In this way, although fashionable and edgy, Carolina Bucci’s jewellery has an essence that transcends fleeting trends, and appeals to women across the boundaries of age and circumstance.
